A mitzvah meaning “commandment” or “good deed” is a core part of Jewish life, emphasizing kindness, responsibility, and making the world a better place. As part of his Bar Mitzvah journey into Jewish adulthood, Laszlo is embracing this tradition through a meaningful Mitzvah Project.
Laszlo is passionate about helping others, and over the past year he has volunteered his time in several hands-on ways through the Jewish United Fund’s TOV Teens program and other community projects. His mitzvah work has included:
• Preparing Rosh Hashanah care packages for families in need, helping ensure the New Year began with warmth and dignity.
• Serving brunch and dinner to individuals experiencing hardship at the JUF Café, offering both nourishment and kindness.
• Volunteering with older adults for Chanukah, spending time with seniors to bring light, connection, and holiday cheer.
In addition to these projects, Laszlo hopes to continue contributing to causes he cares about, including helping animals and supporting shelters, blending his love for animals with his commitment to tikkun olam, or repairing the world.
Stay tuned for updates on Laszlo’s volunteer activities and ways you can support his efforts.
